The design of the 18-hole course in Prague Zbraslav was inspired by Scottish links courses. British architect Jeremy Ford and German golf professional with Czech roots Alex Čejka were among the authors who participated in the design and construction of the course, their ideas were finally shaped by Scottish shaper Mick McShane. The pitch has a sporting character, but it is also intended for regular recreational play. The specialties include dramatically modeled greens, the so-called spill offs – artificially created embankments with free-growing grass, vast sandy wastes with red sand and classic links pot-shaped bunkers (the so-called pot). In 2023, the course was expanded with new holes and a new, modern clubhouse building, which is located at the end of the village of Lipence.
